Education Committee: DCCA is vitally interested in the education of our youth and supports local efforts to improve our educational system in the District. While there has been a special emphasis over the years on assisting Ross Elementary School with mini-grants, fund raisers, etc. the Committee also provides recommendations to the Board on education issues, in general.

House Tour Committee: The third Sunday of each October is the date of DCCA’s Annual House Tour, where from 12-15 neighborhood homeowners open their houses to the public. DCCA has an amazing array of diverse architecture and design in area homes and the tour usually attracts approximately 1500 participants. Volunteers are always needed for the various subcommittees: tickets, publicity, media relations, advertisements, graphics, organization of the tea, etc. On the day of the tour, hundreds of house captains and monitors are needed to give 2 1⁄2 hours of their time in exchange for free tickets to the tour and a wonderful volunteer party at the end of the day.
